Almyra is a beautiful, small beach, located at the south of the island, between Vlychada beach and Akrotiri Beach beach.
The access by car is difficult, thus it is secluded and quiet, ideal if you are seeking for solitude. It has black sand and small pebbles and the waters are usually calm and crystal clear.
Like Vlychada beach, it is surrounded by white sea-sculpted cliffs falling into the sea, formed by the wind in various shapes.
You will not find any beach facilities, but there is a fish tavern (Captain Marcos’ Tavern) that serves fresh fish and traditional Greek food.
To get there you have to drive on a dirt road for about 3km.
